Creating sparkling wine in the Sunraysia region and sending it out to the world is what gets us up bright and early every morning.
But we know that to bring fizz to the people, you need to have different options for different moods and tastes.
Solara’s Prosecco and Chardonnay Pinot Noir varietals are each born out of Duxton Vineyards in the Murray-Darling. For our first bottlings, winemaker Jade Woods and the team have harvested the bright, ripe grapes from a 2023 season of mild days, cool nights, and solid rainfall.
Duxton Vineyards isn’t just a sustainable winery, we’re dedicated to actively regenerating the earth around us. And both of these Solara wines are vegan, with no animal products (ever).
So with all this in common – let’s explore what makes each of our two varietals unique – and introduce you to the Solara Prosecco and the Solara Chardonnay Pinot Noir.
Solara Prosecco
The Glera grape is the star of the show in the Solara Prosecco. It’s complemented by the beautifully fresh bouquet of lifted citrus fruits and granny smith apple aromas.
As for the palate, it’s crisp, refreshing, and has a fine persistent mousse with a well-balanced acid.
Tip: It’s a match made in heaven with seafood and creamy cheeses.
Solara Chardonnay Pinot Noir
Our take on this popular sparkling varietal begins with – you guessed it – 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir grapes. It’s a vibrant drop, with a bouquet of lifted lemon citrus and grapefruit.
The sparkling comes alive with plenty of citrus and stone fruit, and hints of buttery brioche and lemon meringue for a complex but smooth palate. It has a fine mousse and a well-balanced acid.
Tip: Try it with your favourite barbecued fish or chicken.
